Staying on Track With Your New Years Resolutions

We’re 3 weeks into 2022, we’ve survived the infamous January blue Monday, we’re working towards our new year's resolutions, we’re getting small wins every day. Creating new habits takes time and energy, they don’t just happen overnight which is why it’s important we’re celebrating the progress we’ve already achieved.

Did you know that on average it takes 66 days for a new habit to instinctively form? It’s January 21st it’s officially been 21 days since you set yourself goals, that’s a little less than 1/3 of the number of days it takes for a new behaviour to become automatic. So if you’ve hit a brick wall and your finding sticking to your new year’s resolutions tough, remember it’s unlikely that that new behaviour has become automatic to you yet, therefore it’s bound to feel like a struggle or out of the ordinary but just keep pushing through and being consistent!
