February! Where have you been?

I have lost count at the number of people who couldn’t wait to say goodbye to January. However, we often hear a few more groans as we enter a time where red , chocolate coated love hearts fill the shops . At Dual it’s just another month to keep you energised and on track. So why not try bringing a friend this valentine’s day? Even better get your friend to become your new gym buddy this month and receive £10 to spend in store. The more the merrier!

We’ve decided this month is more about sharing than chocolate shaped hearts and gushy cards. So let us remind you of our local affiliates offering you 10-15% off their products and services. Our latest with MTM Auto Care is too good to miss. Our long standing and committed member Mike Jarvis is offering 15% off all servicing, repairs and diagnostics so if you’re in need of a mobile mechanic look no further.

Aside from sharing and caring we hope that you take this time to focus on you. As many of us will lose sight of New Year resolutions getting to the gym can become the last thing on our to do list. If this is you. Make sure you talk to the team about your current gym routine, maybe try a class, or check in with our sports therapists if something isn’t feeling quite right.

February is a time for you too and whilst looking out for everyone else may be at the top of your list we encourage you to be a little bit selfish this valentines day and put your goals and needs first. Finding it hard to be selfish? Read DMR’s blog about holistic health and the importance of finding some self-love

Our very own front of house manager Louise Barnard has managed to put her goals first and get out of her comfort zone in order to raise money for a cause close to her heart. Lou has been training hard since November in preparation of her 10 mile race which will be taking place on Saturday 14th March at 10am, here at Dual Strength + Fitness.

Lou is running for 1 in 10 – For Endometriosis UK something that she has personally battled with since the age of 18. We are very proud of her and are looking forward to cheering her on. Follow Lou’s story in her own words and share your support by taking a peak at her just giving page.

Well done for making it through January. As always have a great month and please get in touch with us with any questions, feedback or support you may need to share with us. Finally, we would greatly appreciate some love from you guys this month as we go for Gym of the Year for a 3rd time. Get your votes in over the next couple of weeks to help us keep our trophy.
